Moving Progress

Wow! I should have taken a picture of the beading I did last night... the first in my new home/studio! It felt so great to sit there beading, while totally ignoring all the boxes, all the stuff that needs to be organized and put somewhere.

Stuff piled in the corner of the studio.

Stuff filling the work bench area in the shed.

Stuff filling all the shelves in the shed.

I'm not even showing you the stuff stacked against the walls in the bedrooms and closets. How could anybody have so much stuff? But, hey, the studio tables and chairs are there... I can bead! No gripes at all... progress is being made.

Thanks to those of you have have called, written and/or left supportive comments. It helps me and encourages me... I appreciate you for it more than I know how to say.

  2. Moving is an opportunity to get rid of the stuff we do not need and discover the stuff that has been hidden amongst our belongings. Enjoy the process.

    1. Looks are deceiving... I didn't take time to label most of them... big mistake.

      I'm curious too.

  5. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...I'm sure you will come out on the other side for the better. I laughed when you say 'how can anyone have so much stuff'. I am planning a move in about a year and dread the thought of moving all my stuff. I have a 4 bedroom home (I live by myself with my dog) and 2 of those rooms are just my craft stuff. I always joke that I could open up a craft store right in my own home. I also joke that I am a little bit of a craft hoarder. But hey we need all this stuff to create. Right? Anyways, welcome to your new home.

(It's always nice to see that there are more stash- and book-junkies in the world than just yourself - makes you feel kind of sane.)

  7. Thanks for share this post I also share with you something hope you like my post. If you have broken glass or ceramics like ovenproof dishes, drinking glasses or mugs, creatively reuse or place in your rubbish bin, because just 15g of ovenproof glass can contaminate one tonne of normal glass, making it useless for recycling. Thanks

  8. I am in phase three at the moment of moving my mum closer to us following a stroke (phase one sell holiday bungalow in Wales, phase two buy bungalow near us, phase three move stuff across and finally phase four to sell family home ). I am just about to get quotes for moving all my mum's things to her new home near us. She has lived in the house for over fifty years so i think a zillion boxes will be needed. Hope our boxes will look as neat as yours! Beading is my oasis is calm and your inspiration in getting me started has been a real blessing. Heartfelt thanks:)
